Port Blair, July 29: An executive committee meeting of the Clerical Cadre Branch of the Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association, A & N Islands was held recently at Port Blair which discussed various issues pertaining to the Amalgamated Clerical Cadre working under the A & N Administration. Mr. Salman Khan, Secretary of the branch briefed the meeting on the recent developments of the branch. The meeting resolved to urge the Administration to publish the posting profile of all the AC Cadre staff working under A & N Administration who is posted in various departments throughout the islands. It was also discussed to bring a few points before the Administration regarding the changes to be made in the present transfer posting guidelines. The meeting also resolved to organize a suitable awareness programme for the employees coming under the NPS Scheme. Various other issues like up gradation of Pay, suitable training on rules and other technical aspects through ISTM, department wise restructuring of posts, organizing membership drive, etc. were discussed in the meeting. The meeting also resolved to urge the Administration to provide basic training to the newly selected LGCs before their posting. Mr. R.Rajendran, General Secretary of the Association also addressed the meeting and urged them to come together against the fight for the introduction of the Old Pension Scheme. Mrs. Geeta Surendran, Treasurer presented the account details while Mr. Jagat Ram Baraik was unanimously co-opted as the Joint Secretary of the branch. The meeting was presided over by Mrs. Suma Nair, Organizing Secretary, NGOs’ Association.
