Blood donation camp by Sant Nirankari Mission

Port Blair, May 08: Blood donation camp organized at Branch Port Blair Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan 05 May 2024: For the welfare of mankind, by the holy blessings and divine guidance of Satguru Mata Sudiksha Maharaj and Nirankari Rajpita Ramit, the 27th Blood Donation Camp was organized by Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation, the social wing of Sant Nirankari Mission at Branch Port Blair in collaboration with Andaman Nicobar AIDS Control Society. The blood bank team of Govind Vallabh Pant (G.B. Pant) Hospital along with doctors were present there to collect blood.
This camp was inaugurated by respected Mr. Mohan Prasad Saav, Zonal In-charge, Zone-45,
Kolkata. He encouraged all the blood donors who participated in the blood donation camp and praised them for their selfless service and valuable contribution towards public welfare. On this occasion, he said that the Mission has always been at the forefront in social responsibilities. The enthusiasm of all the volunteers and the preparation of the branch was excellent. He thanked everyone associated with the organization including the staff of the hospital and AIDS Control Society.
Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Dr. Shilpa V. Sankhe, Medical Officer, Blood Bank
from GB Pant Hospital, Mrs. Parmila Kumari, Ex Zila Parishad Adhyaksha, South Andaman and Mr. R.K. Raj, Counsellor from Prem Nagar area. Dr. Shilpa, while praising the regular conduct of Blood donation camp by Sant Nirankari Mission, she also said that blood donation is good for the donor from health point of view. They also praised the noble works undertaken by the mission and offered their all-out support for all such occasions.
Apart from this, Sector Incharge Mr. Satya Narayan expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all the
distinguished guests, blood donors, doctors and his team present in the blood donation camp. He also mentioned and thanked G.B. Pant Hospital Blood Bank and Andaman & Nicobar Aids Control Society for their unconditional support and cooperation. He said that Sant Nirankari Mission has been a leader in the entire country in donating blood. Till now, 13,59,141 units of blood have been collected by the Mission by organizing 80,341 blood donation camps.
One day prior to the Blood Donation Camp, a bike rally followed by a Nukkad Natak was also
conducted. The rally was flagged off by Rev. Mohan Prasad Shaw, Zonal Incharge, Zone-45, Kolkata.
The rally started from the ITF Ground passed through Dairy Farm Junction, Junglighat, Goalghar,
Delanipur, Phoenix Bay, Aberdeen Bazar, the Clock Tower, National Memorial Cellular Jail and finally
concluded at Marina Park near Govt. Girls Sr. Sec. School, Traffic Point. The motive behind conducting
the rally & Nukkad Natak was to spread a message and encourage people to donate blood for the betterment of mankind.

The Sant Nirankari Mission is involved in many social welfare services along with spiritual
upliftment; Which mainly includes services like blood donation camps, cleanliness campaigns, tree
plantation, smoothly running schemes for women and child development empowerment, free eye check- up camps and assistance to the needy in natural disasters etc. so that proper development of the society can be achieved.

The elaborate arrangements for registration pre-checking, consultation and donation, storage and
record keeping were made at the venue in addition to the mission organized Guru Ka Langer, for all.
During this camp, a total of 75 volunteers donated blood. A total of 119 registrations were
completed, with 42 individuals being ineligible to donate and 02 universal donors kept as reserves
for donation at short notice.
