Port Blair, Sep 28: The District Administration through its District Health Society, South Andaman conducted a Reproductive Child Health (RCH) camp in coordination with Directorate of Health Services & ANIIMS at PHC SwarajDweep on 28.09.2023 as a part of the AyushmanBhavah campaign started from 17.09.2023 at health centre/village level and will be concludes with village level Gram/WardSabha on 02.10.2023.
Ms. Veditha Reddy, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman urged the general public to avail the services during the AyushmanBhavah campaign and also participate by registering him/herself in https://swachhatahiseva.com to success a massive cleanliness drive under Swachhata Pakhwada – Swachhata Hi Seva 2023 led by people is envisaged to be held on 1st October, 2023 at 10.00 AM across the country as a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on the eve of his birth anniversary on 02nd October, 2023.
Ms. Debjani Sikdar, Samiti Member, Shyam Nagar Panchayat & Mr. Dhanjay, Sarpanch, Govind Nagar Panchayat Inaugurated the Reproductive Child Health (RCH) camp and Mr. B. Nagendra, District Programme Manager, DHS (SA) & health team consists, D R. Pradeep Kumar Padhy, Professor & HoD of General Medicine, Dr. Chinta Jeevana Reddy, Senior Resident, Dept. of OBG &Dr. Mrinal Yadav, Junior Resident, Dept. of Pediatrics are graced the occasion. Earlier, Dr. Sabeela Banu, Medical Officer, In Charge welcomed all dignitaries.
Other than the above health camp, all Health Centres of South Andaman District are being conducting the Health Melas at village level, wherein the activities are undertaken such as, creation of ABHA/ PM-JAY cards, screening population for Hypertension & Diabetes, identification and treatment of TB patients etc.
Further, HWC Hopetown under CHC Bambooflat will also conduct a blood donation camp at Gram Panchayat, Hopetown on 01st October, 2023.
