Port Blair, June 19: On 18 June 2023, the officials of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh Andaman and Nicobar Islands visited Shaeed Dweep. Later the workers related to the tourist boat operator and owner formed a new organization under the banner of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh. The meeting was chaired by Mr. M Veeranna, President, State BMS, A&N Islands, led by Mr. Sunil Kumar Ghosh. General Secretary. Mrs. Venket Laxmi Secretary, and Mr. Anup Kumar Dutta, Executive member were also present in this meeting. During the meeting everyone unanimously recognized the name of the union as Neil Island Tourist Boat Owner Sangh. After that, an executive a committee was formed, Mr. Tapas Pal, elected as President, other two members were given charge as Vice-President, Mr. Vishwajit Adhikari and Ranjan Das; Mr. Nimbu Lall was unanimously elected as General Secretary. M Raja and Suraj Bahadur were appointed as Secretaries. The responsibility of Treasurer was given to Mr. Vishwajit Biswas and 09 other Executive members were also announced. The tenure of this committee shall be for the next 3 years. In the end everyone concluded the meeting with the slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh Amar Rahe.
