Port Blair, June 19: Andaman Nicobar Rajya Karmachari Mahasangh (ANRKM) and its affiliated association Swasthya Vibhag Karmachari Sangh today i.e. 19th June 2023 protested before the office of the Directorate of Health Services for not granting 1/30th of pay to all DRMs as sanctioned by the A & N Administration with the approval of Lt. Governor, A & N Islands vide Admn.’s order no. 1283 dt. 09.05.2023.
ANRKM has represented before the Chief Secretary in the month of May that several HoDs are raising different speculations for sanctioning 1/30th of Pay to all DRMs. In Spite of directions, the Directorate of Health Services denied the order of Administration and not granted the benefit of 1/30th of Pay to all working DRMs.
ANRKM has requested the Director of Health Services for granting 1/30th of Pay as per the directions contained in the Admn.’s order no. 1283 on 9th June 2023, but no response was seen from the part of Directorate and under compulsion to protect the rights of the working class, Gate Protest was organised in the gate of Directorate of Health Services.
The President, ANRKM Mr. Jaydeep Kr. Dey inaugurated the protest and addressed all present members to fight unitedly for the cause and if not granted within a fortnight, another mode of protest will be adopted to press the demand. In the protest Mr. Ram Pyare Yadav, State Vice President, BMS also participated and presence of all affiliated associations was praise worthy. The protest concluded with the vote of thanks by Mrs. Viji to all present members for their participation including committee members of different affiliated associations of ANRKM.
