Port Blair, June 19: The 53rd Annual General Body Meeting of ACCI was organized at Hotel TSG Emerald view, Phoenix Bay on 18th June, 2023. In this meeting Brig Ashis Bhattacharyya Senior Advisor of North Eastern States & UTs, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), New Delhi was the Special Guest. The meeting was attended by nearly 150 members of the ACCI. Mr. Surendra Prahladka the President welcomed all the members of ACCI. Mr. G. Dhinakaran, General Secretary presented the Annual Report for the year 2022-2023. Mr. Rajesh Puria, Treasurer presented the Audited Financial Report 2022-23 and budget for the year 2023-24. Mr. K Chandrasekar, Vice President presented a Memento to Mr. Rajesh Puria, Treasurer & his team for their appreciable work in collecting long pending annual subscriptions of members. The senior members of ACCI presented flower bouquets to Veteran senior most members who were present in the meeting. In the AGM the agenda of changing the name of Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry to Andaman & Nicobar Chamber of Commerce & Industry was approved by the members. The proposal for appointing. The website of ACCI was launched by the President and the features of the website were explained by Mr. Farhan Jadwet, Chairman & Mr. Ashwin Dhinakaran, Secretary of Youth Wing of ACCI. In the open forum few points of common interests were raised by the members and the Executive Committee has agreed to take up the issues with the competent authority. A PowerPoint Presentation on the journey of ACCI since its inception prepared by Mr. Diwakar Moorthy, Executive Member and Mr. Divesh Prahladka, Member Youth Wing of ACCI was screened. Brig Ashis Bhattacharyya Sr. Advisor of CII gave a power point presentation on the overall scenario of CII and their interaction with higher officials of the administration in implementing developmental activities of the A&N Islands. He also interacted with the Office Bearers and members of ACCI. Mr. Girish Arora, Past President presented a memento to Brig Ashis Bhattacharyya for his appreciable contribution and association with ACCI. Mr. Mohd. H Jadwet gave the vote of thanks. The programme concluded at around 1.45 PM with the National Anthem.
