Port Blair, Sep 26: Sri Krishna Temple management, Car Nicobar organized Ganesh Chaturthi at Car Nicobar from 19/09/2023 to 24/09/2023. On the first day, Police staff from Nicobar provided Annadanam in Ganesh Chaturthi. This Police team is providing Annadanam in Ganesh Chaturthi for the first day of Pooja every year. BJR Hospital staff and Education department staff from Car Nicobar both also provided annadanam in Ganesh Chaturthi.
For the first time in Nicobar District cultural programs organized at Car Nicobar during the Ganesh immersion. On 24-09-2023, A special “KANTARA ” performance was shown by Mr. Sambhu Murthy, Police Department and villain role cast by Mr. Linga Raju, Industrial Department in different variations. Also, the kids showed their talent by “DANDIYA”. Large number of devotees gathered and same day Ganesh idol immersion at Malacca Jetty, Car Nicobar. People were very excited to see both KANTARA and DANDIYA performances during the immersion.
