DCC stages protest on summon issued to Sonia Gandhi by ED

Port Blair, Jul 27: As part of the nationwide agitation, the District Congress Committee, South Andaman under the Coordinator ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder on 27th July 2022 staged a protest rally to condemn the decision of the Enforcement Directorate on the 3rd Consecutive day to summon Congress leader Sonia Gandhi for questioning in the National Herald case. The rally was organized at Namunaghar Junction.

            Led by ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder, Senior leaders and workers holding placards against the Centre, shouted slogans urging the ED not to work under the political pressure of the BJP.

            Speaking in the protest Mr. Rangalal Halder and other leaders said that the Modi government by Issuing summons to AICC president Sonia Gandhi is trying to divert the attention of people against the misgovernance of the BJP government. He alleged that the BJP-led central government only for their political vendetta is harassing their party leaders.

            At last, DCC General Secretary, Mr. Abhibhusan Ghosh has expressed his gratitude to all the people who came and supported the Strike and strongly condemn the ED and BJP Government for Harassing True leaders of the country for unwanted enquiries.

            Congress Senior Leaders Mrs. Marshala Dung Dung and Mr. A.Sharif, City Congress President Mr. Mohd. Zubair, DCC General Secretary Mr. Abhibhusan Ghosh, City Congress General Secretary Mr. Raj Reddy, up-Pramukh Ferrargunj Mr. Simson, NSUI President Mr. MA.Sajid and NSUI General Secretary Mr. Anick Das, City Congress Former General Secretary, Mr. Baby Varghese and Samity Member Brindaban Panchayat Mrs. Amrita was among the leaders who participated in the agitation.
