Port Blair, Jul 27: The President of Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee, Mr. Rangalal Halder has requested the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands to lay out the opportunity to all elected PRI Members i.e., Zilla Parishad Adhyaksh, Up-Zilla Parishad Adhyaksh, Pramukh, Up-Pramukh, Pradhan rather than the Govt. Officials in hoisting the National Flag on 15th August on their respective Panchayats, Tehsil and Districts.
In his letter to Lt. Governor, Mr. Halder said that PRI members have been elected in the Panchayati Raj Elections to work upon the peoples in their respective Panchayats, Tehsil and Districts. According to that, they should get an Opportunity in hoisting the National flag on Independence Day.
