Port Blair, Sep 04: State Control Room, Directorate of Disaster Management, A&N Administration issued a Weather warning over the A&N Islands received from IMD Kolkata.
It is informed that on 05th September 2022, Heavy Rain (7-11 cm) andthunderstorm with gusty wind (30-40 kmph) is likely to occur at one or two places over A&N Islands.
On 06th and 07th September 2022,Heavy to Heavy Rain (7-20 cm) and thunderstorm with gusty wind (40-50 kmph) is likely to occur at one or two places over A&N Islands and Heavy Rain (7-11 cm)is likely to occur at one or two places over Nicobar Islands.
On 08th September 2022, Heavy Rain (7-11 cm) and thunderstorm with gusty wind (30-40 kmph) is likely to occur at one or two places over A&N Islands.
Due to squally weather with wind speed exceeding 45 kmph likely to prevail over Andaman Sea and A&N Islands coasts, Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea along and off Andaman & Nicobar coast form 06thto 08th September 2022.
