Port Blair, Sep 04: The Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands to felicitate the toppers of Class X and Class XII of the academic session 2021-2022.
He has also requested to consider felicitation of the toppers of academic session 2019-2020 during the function to be organized by the Education department at Raj Niwas.
In a letter addressed to the Lt. Governor, the Member of Parliament added that every year, the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands felicitates the toppers of Class X and XII students of various schools in A&N Islands at Raj Niwas by presenting medals and certificates to the meritorious students in the presence of dignitaries and teachers with a view to motivate and inspire the other students to do well in their academic subjects.
He pointed out that, due to the pandemic, the felicitation programme has not been held to felicitate the Class X and XII toppers of the academic session 2019-2020.
