Port Blair, Sep 04: One COVID positive case has been detected today in A&N Islands during the screening of incoming flight passengers who arrived here yesterday. Today, 10 flights with 1706 passengers arrived, out of which, 1563 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while an RT-PCR test was conducted on 103 passengers and the reports are awaited.
During RAT conducted on 20 passengers bound for North & Middle Andaman at Ferrargunj, no positive case has been detected. At Phoenix Bay Jetty, 20 passengers were tested with RAT, no positive case has been detected. RAT was conducted on 11 passengers at Mohanpura Bus Terminus, no positive case has been detected.
