Port Blair, Jan 13: Swami Vivekananda Jayanti and National Youth Day were celebrated by Vivekananda Kendra Nagar Palika Vidyalaya, Ranchi Tekri at B R Ambedkar auditorium on 12th January 2023. The function began sharp at 9 a.m. Mrs. Smitha R, IAS, Secretary, PBMC was the Chief Guest whereas Mr. Aneesh Chatterjee, Assistant Director Civil Supply and Mr. V Ravichandran councilor Ward no.9 were the Guest of Honor respectively. Adarniya Varsha Bujone, secretary of Vivekananda Kendra A & N Islands graced the function with her presence and blessings along with a team of well wishers from Maharashtra.
Earlier Headmistress Mrs. Sangita Karmakar welcomed the gathering. She highlighted the importance of Swami Vivekananda’s valuable messages to orient the youth for a stronger Bharat and presented the school’s Annual Report. A speech on the importance of the day was delivered by Mrs. K. Bindu Kumari, teacher of the vidyalaya.
A colorful cultural programme presented by the students was appreciated and got a round of applause. Prizes of various competitions were given away to the winners. Chief Guest Mrs. Smita R talked about the importance of Swami Vivekananda teachings and how one can incorporate it in their daily lives to achieve goals. The programme ended with a Thank you note.
