Port Blair, Apr 12: CRC-Andaman Nicobar Islands in association with Sarva Shiksha (Department of Education) organized Teacher’s Awareness Programme on Learning Disability for Pre-primary & Primary teachers of Govt schools in 7 clusters in South Andaman on 10th & 12TH April 2023 in GSSS, Model School, Aberdeen Bazaar.
The Programme inaugurated by Mr. Ashok Tiwari, The Principal, GSSS, Model School and Mrs. Sumithamol, RNO, CRC, A&N-Islands. Mrs. S. Sumithamol, Resident Nodal Officer welcomed the guest on dice and the gatherings and explained the background of this teacher’s awareness programme.
Mrs. Saranyah, Rehabilitation Officer, Mr. Himadri Shekhar, P&O Consultant, CRC, A&N-Islands & Mrs. Sumithamol,RNO have been taken sessions on screening Identification, Types, Classroom management, Behavior management of Learning disability and as well about CRC.
On a special note Mr. Askok Tiwari, The Principal, GSSS, Model School explained the gathering about the importance of this awareness programme and shared his own experience with learning disabled.
Totally 181 teachers from Govt Schools of South Andaman, the special educators & BRPs from Shiksha Sadan participated in the programme & got benefitted. Finally, the programme winded up with Vote of thanks.
