Port Blair, Aug 21: The District Police of North and Middle Andaman have been conducting regular raids to crackdown sale of illicit liquor/ IMFL. On receipt of the information on 19th August 2022 from reliable sources regarding the storage of illegal IMFL, a team was constituted comprising SI Sudeep Golder along with 01 HC and 04 PC of PS Kalighat. The team conducted a raid in the store room beside the house cum ration shop of the person namely S. Kamalnathan S/o Late N. Selvam (44 yrs.) R/o Kalighat and recovered 348 bottles of IMFL amounting to 65 liters. The accused person was arrested and a case under relevant sections was registered at PS Kalighat.
The entire raid was conducted under the supervision of Mr. Manasvi Vashistha, DANIPS, SDPO/Diglipur, and overall direction and supervision of Mrs. Geetanjali Khandelwal, IPS, Superintendent of Police, N&M Andaman District.
