Port Blair, Jan 02: It is a proud moment for the Islanders as ShrihaanKarmakar, a young budding chess player who is student of class III, KV-2 Port Blair has brought laurels to the islands by securing 7th Position in under 09 Category in the 1st War of Knights Open International FIDE Rating Chess Tournament 2022 that held at Kolkata, West Bengal from 26th December 2022 to 31st December 2022. He has been awarded with a Trophy and Certificate.
Around 240 players across India & abroad took part in the prestigious event that was held for 6 days over 9 rounds under the Swiss System in Classical time control.
