Port Blair, Jan 07: Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose (Ross Island), with its rich historical significance and unique ecological attributes, deserves our attention and care. Recognizing the need for sustainable management and preservation, Port Blair Municipal Council has taken the lead in organizing a comprehensive cleanliness drive on Tuesday 07th January 2024.
This cleanliness drive was conducted under the guidance of Mr. Dilkhush Meena, Secretary, PBMC and Mr. Abhishek Bhukal, Joint Secretary, PBMC. This initiative aligns with our commitment to environmental conservation and community engagement.
The objective of the drive was litter removal from the Island, in which volunteers would actively participate in cleaning up litter and debris from designated areas across Ross Island, ensuring a pristine environment for both residents and visitors.
