Port Blair, Sep 02: Acting on specific intelligence from a reliable source, the Police team from Central Crime Station consisting of SI Parvash, HC/1713 K.Venkateshwar Rao, PC/1143 Rajendran and PC/2079 G. Ravi intercepted two persons namely Sagar Sarkar, S/o Mr. Santosh Sarkar (26) yrs. and Kishor Roy, S/o Late Atul Roy (50) yrs. both R/o Shantanu, Kadamtala, N&M Andaman at VSI Airport exit gate who had arrived at Port Blair from Kolkata on 01st September 2022 by Spicejet flight.
During checking of their personnel belongings, 2.075 Kg of Ganja which was clandestinely concealed in the suitcase was seized and accused persons were arrested observing all codal formalities.
A case under relevant sections of NDPS Act-1985 has been registered at PS CCS and an investigation is on.
