Asst. CommissionerRangat visits GP Shivapuram to inspect the issues in the area

Port Blair, Sep 13: Mr. Aditya Kumar Astana, Assistant Commissioner, Middle Andaman, Rangat visited Shivapuram Panchayat on 13th September 2022 to inspect issues in the area.

            A meeting was held in Panchayat Bhawan. Firstly, Mr.Venkateswara Rao, Pradhan, GP Shivapuram welcomed the Assistant Commissioner to his Panchayat and in which the head of Sivapuram Panchayat, Panchayat Samiti members and Ward members were present.

            The head and the ward member gave their opinion on the problems of their Panchayat, then the assistant commissioner, along with the Panchayat team went to the place with all the problems and demands.

            The demands made were: 1. To get the T.V. Kulam Baily bridge repaired soon; 2. Early repair and need of Betapur Health and Wellness Center; 3. Under the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme, 8 houses have been given in Betapur but due to the land shifting behind it, the beneficiary is unable to build the house, therefore there is an urgent need for a retaining wall; 4. The need for repair of the Panchayat Community Hall of Padmanabapuram and 5. A very bad condition of the rural road of Panchavati as well as the need for culvert and wing wall as children unable to go to school.

            In the end, the Assistant Commissioner has assured that all theproblems of the Shivapuram Panchayat will be taken seriously and will try to solve them soon
