Port Blair, Sep 15: Working towards its commitment to making the A&N Islands drug-free, N&MAndaman District Police is conducting regular raids. Acting on credible information on 15/09/2022, a team headed by SHO PS Billiground SI Madhab Haldar and I/C OP Betapur SI Sushanta Debnath along with other staff members conducted a raid and recovered 1.65 Kgs of illicit ganja from the possession of a person namely Kishor Halder, S/o Mr. Kiron Halder (27) Yrs, R/o Pinaki Nagar, Ward No-2, permanent residence of Curtburt Bay.
Accordingly, illicit ganja was seized and the accused was arrested on the spot after observing all legal formalities and a case has been registered.
The entire trap was conducted under the supervision of Mr. VisheshDhatterwal, DANIPS, SDPO/Rangat, and overall direction and supervision of Mrs. Geetanjali Khandelwal, IPS, Superintendent of Police, N&M Andaman District.
The district police follow a policy of zero tolerance toward any organized crime.
