1st ever Chess training classes conducts at North & Middle Andaman

Port Blair, Nov 09: The North & Middle Andaman District Chess Association (NMADCA) under the aegis of Andaman Nicobar Chess Association (ANCA) in collaboration with the Ramnagar Panchayat conducted free chess training session for the school children of Ramnagar Panchayat at the Panchayat Hall today.

Mr. Mithun Das, Pradhan, Ramnagar Panchayat, inaugurated the chess training by making the first move on the chess board in the presence of parents, chess enthusiasts and a large number of school children. On this occasion, he urged the children to play chess to develop their thinking skills and get maximum benefit from the training sessions.

Mr. M Sanjay Kumar, Forester and a national chess player from A & N Islands conducted the training classes for the children. The chess training will be held thrice a week in the Panchayat Hall for the school level children.
