State Child Protection Society Hosts Transformative Awareness cum Summer Camp at Chinmaya Mission, Port Blair

Port Blair, Apr 30: In an empowering initiative aimed at nurturing the young minds of the Child Care Institution (CCI) homes of South Andaman, The State Child Protection Society (SCPS) under Directorate of Social Welfare, organized a remarkable Awareness Cum Summer Camp at Chinmaya Mission, Port Blair.

The event was inaugurated with a heartfelt welcome address by Mr. A.K Biswas, Nodal Officer (SCPS). In his opening remarks, He extended his profound gratitude towards the esteemed guests and enthusiastic participants for their presence and support in making the event a success. The dignitaries were also felicitated with bouquets of flowers, symbolizing appreciation and respect.

The session started with Dr. Rekha, Specialist, Ayurveda (Ayush Hospital), who led a discussion on health and hygiene. She emphasized the importance of maintaining well-being through healthy practices, providing valuable insights for the children’s overall development and quality of life.

Following, Dr. Nitin Shakya, Director (Social Welfare), addressed the gathering, laying emphasis on the crucial role of concentration in both academic achievement and personal development. His insights provided valuable guidance to the young minds present.

Mr. Rakesh Chandra Lall, News Reader, All India Radio, delved into the significance of communication skills. His expertise shed light on the essence of effective expression in every sphere of life.

Mr. Swami Shuddhananda, Chinmaya Mission brought a spiritual perspective by elucidating on the teachings of Swami Vivekananda and the importance of good behavior. His discourse inspired everyone with a deeper understanding of ethical living.

Smti. Komal Anand, Founder, Pankh NGO, enlightened the participants on the significance of time management for optimal productivity. By sharing practical strategies and tips, she also empowered the children to efficiently utilize their time and resources, enabling them to achieve their goals and aspirations effectively.

As the program drew to a close, Smti. Rehaneth Begum, Program Manager (SCPS), extended a heartfelt vote of thanks to the Resource Persons, children from the Child Care Institutions, in-chargers and Swami ji of Chinmaya Mission. On behalf of Directorate of Social Welfare, She also expressed gratitude for their invaluable contributions towards the success of the Awareness-cum-Summer Camp.
