DC (N&MA) Meets Budding Students of GPS, Mayabunder – A Step towards Educational Empowerment

Port Blair, Apr 08: Today, Mr. Dilkhush Meena, IAS, Deputy Commissioner North & Middle Andaman district paid a visit at GPS Mayabunder to extend warm welcome to the new budding students of pre-primary and primary classes who have recently enrolled as part of “Meet and Greet” function, aimed at fostering a sense of belonging and encouragement among the students.

DC (N&MA) along with members of the school faculty, cordially greeted the newly enrolled students and expressed delight and emphasized the importance of education and encouraged the students to pursue their academic endeavors with dedication and enthusiasm. 

During the session, each new student was given a learning kit as a token of appreciation and encouragement by the Deputy Commissioner, N&MA. The gesture was met with smiles and gratitude from the students, who were visibly excited to begin their educational journey.

One of the highlights of the event was a special performance by the pre-primary students, who greeted the Deputy Commissioner with an energetic action song, prop story-telling & group dance. The enthusiastic performance showcased the talent and vibrancy of the young learners, leaving a lasting impression on all those present.

The visit concluded on a high note along with a group selfie, with the Deputy Commissioner, N&MA expressing his best wishes to the students for a successful and fulfilling academic year. The event served as a reminder of the crucial role that education plays in shaping the future generation and the commitment of the authorities to support and nurture young talent. Such interactions can inspire and motivate students and also provide an opportunity for officials to understand the needs and challenges of the education system firsthand.
