Port Blair, Feb 08: Mr. A.S.P.S. Ravi Prakash, IAS, Secretary (DM) and Dr. Nitin Shakya, Director (Disaster Management), A&N Administration along with Officers of Disaster Management Department visited various mock incident sites of State Level Mock DM Exercise in Port Blair and taken the stock of ground level disaster preparedness for smooth conduct of State Level Mock Exercise scheduled on 09.02.2023.
The team visited Phoenix Bay Jetty, Fish Landing Centre and GSS, Junglighat and interacted with the appointed field site in-charges of the Scenario of the Tsunami painted for the above exercise and briefed about the actions to be taken by the various stakeholders in the disaster scenario sites. The Secretary and Director of Disaster Management, A&N Administration urged all Site In-charges/stakeholders to discharge their duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Incident Response System (IRS) of the A&N Administration and act as a real time crisis/disaster. The preparations of the sites have been found in order and directed to the Site In-charges/stakeholders to take all necessary precautionary measures in the incident sites for the safety of dummies/victims and the community.
