Burglary Case Solved by PSDiglipur Team and One Accused Person Arrested

Port Blair, Oct 12: In continuation to zero tolerance policy against any kind of crime, PS Diglipur staff have cracked a burglary case within a short span of time  and arrested one accused person and recovered the stolen cash and other articles.

          On 23/09/2022, a burglary case was reported at PS Diglipur that cash of Rs. 86,000/- (eighty six thousand rupees), Gold ornaments (02 nos. Rings – 04 grams and a pair of gold earnings – 06 grams were stolen from the house of Mr. Naresh Halder. Upon this, an FIR was registered at PS Diglipur and 02 teams were constituted for the search of the accused and stolen cash & gold ornaments. The general public were also sensitized about the incident of burglary in their locality. On 10/10/2022, some villagers of Rabindrapally village, Diglipur informed PS Diglipur that they have apprehended one person suspected to be the accused of the burglary case. Subsequently, the person namely Rajiv Biswas S/o Mr. Robin Biswas (22) yrs. R/o Sardar Tikrey, Diglipur was brought to police station. After interrogation, Rajiv Biswas accepted his guilt and the stolen cash and other articles were recovered from his possession. Further, he was arrested after observing all codal formalities.
