Seminar on Entrepreneurship Development and Strengthening Public -Private Cooperative Partnership

Port Blair, Nov 18: The 5th day was marked as- “Entrepreneurship Development and Strengthening Public Private Cooperative Partnership ” of69th All India Cooperative Week 2022 organized at Panchayat Hall, Beodnabad, South Andaman.. A seminar on the subject was organized in which Mr.Bhuvrajan, Deputy General Manager, NABARD, served as Chief Guest. Mr.Yogesh Kumar, Assistant Director, MSME, Port Blair, Mr.Suresh Babu, Principal, RGCTC, the Members of Zilla Parishad of South Andaman and Panchayat Samity of the area, Directors of ANSCU, Officers NCUI, ANSCB, Chairman, Directors &members of different cooperatives &large of numbers of SHG attended the programme. 

Mr.Bhuvrajan, Deputy General Manager, NABARD while addressing the gathering stressed the need for ensuring democracy in cooperatives so that the cooperatives aresucceeded. He said cooperatives are very significant institutions which reach to the unreached. Further he said the State Coop. Bank is supporting the farmers &the SHG members to meet their emergent credit needs. State Coop. Banks provided 90% of the total loan provided to different SHGs by different Banks. 

The Chief Guest appealed to thecooperators to keep their cooperative alive by generating funds from different activities through collective actionsso he said make the roots of the cooperatives strong. The gap between the financial institutions and coops aremarginalized by making partnership with them. 

Mr.Suresh BabuPrincipal, RGCTC spoke on today’s topic on “Entrepreneurship Development and Strengthening Public-Private Cooperative Partnership”. Mr.Yogesh Kumar, Assistant Director, MSME, Port Blair briefed the different schemes of MSME for the benefit of cooperatives &SHG. An interactive session with the participants was also held in which they raised many issues related their cooperatives. 

Earlier Mr. Naresh Ram, CEI, NCUI, Port Blair welcomed the guests while Mrs. ShameemaBegum, Instructor, ANSCU proposed vote of thanks.
