Port Balir, July 21: As a part of the nationwide agitation, the District Congress Committee, South Andaman under the direction of ANTCC President Mr. RangalalHalder on 21st July 2022 staged a protest rally to condemn the decision of the Enforcement Directorate to summon Congress leader Sonia Gandhi for questioning in the National Herald case. The rally started from Gandhi Bhawan to Gandhi Statue and returned back to Gandhi Bhawan.
Led by DCC President Mr. V.K Abdul Aziz party leaders and workers holding placards against the Centre, shouted slogans urging the ED not to work under the political pressure of the BJP.
Speaking in the protest Mr. Aziz alleged that the Modi government by issuing summon to AICC president Sonia Gandhi is trying to divert the attention of people against mis-governance of the BJP government. He alleged that the BJP-led central government only for their political vendetta is harassing their party leaders.

Tamilselvan, Mrs. Marshala Dung Dung, Seva Dal Chief Organizer Mr. T. Wajith, Minority Department Chairman Mr. John Robert, OBC Department Chairman Mr. R.K Raj, Mahila Congress South Andaman Coordinator Mrs.Zubaida Begum, Senior leader Mr. Mohd. Jawed ,PBMC Councillors Smt. Mangayakarasai and were among the leaders who participated in the agitation.
