ZSI Port Blair to organize coastal clean-up on 05th September 2022 at Burmanalla

Port Blair, Sep 04: The Government of India has taken an initiative to mass mobilize a campaign from August 2022 to September 2022 to coincide with the International Coastal Clean-up Day, which is on 17th September 2022.

            Under this campaign, various activities are coordinated by the Ministry of Earth Sciences, GoI. As a part of the celebration of International Coastal Cleanup Day, the Vigyan Prasar (VP), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India is organizing a one-day event to highlight the idea of a ‘Clean Coast, Safe Sea’ in Zoological Survey of India, Port Blair.

            In this connection, the Zoological Survey of India, Port Blair will organize a coastal clean-up on 05th September 2022 at Burmanalla and one day workshop on ‘Swachh Sagar, Surakshit Sagar’ (Clean Coast, Safe Sea) as a part of the celebration of International Coastal Cleanup Day to be held on 06th September 2022 in ZSI, Port Blair for the benefit of the Teachers, Researchers and Students of these Islands.
