Port Blair, Jan 02: More than 300 players across India participated in the prestigious event in which 3 young budding chess players, (two Boys and one Girl) from Andaman & Nicobar Islands took part in the championship and did quite well. J S Virat, a student of class IV of VKV lamba Line is the top scorer from A & N Islands who scored five and a half points with five wins and a draw while Rohan Singh, a student of class III and Parnita, a student of class IV, Carmel Sr. Sec. School Port Blair scored 4 points each with four wins.
