Port Blair, Aug 30: Unnati organized the Micro Entrepreneurship Development Programme on Food Processing with the support of NABARD at Namunaghar on 29th August 2022.
During the training programme value-added food processing products on fish, prawn, coconut, bamboo shoot, mixed veg pickle and lemon would be demonstrated and taught to 20 trainees. The Resource person from Industry Department Mr. Janak Rao explained in detail about various assistance available from Industry Department for undertaking food processing activities. President Unnati clarified various points raised by the trainees and assured them to take up the same with the Administration. Mrs. Rani, Food Technologist conducted the training programme. Mr. Venkat, Pradhan, Namunaghar thanked Unnati and NABARD for organizing the food processing training programme for which raw materials are abundantly available. He further said that such a programme would provide employment opportunities to SHGs.
