Swachtha Abhiyan Conducted by Sree Sakthivel Murugan Youth Club (Ssmyc) on the Occasion of Gurunanak Jayanthi

Port Blair, Nov 09: On 08th November 2022, The Sree Sakthivel Murugan Youth Club (SSMYC) has conducted the Swachhta Abhiyan in collaboration with Port Blair Municipal Council (PBMC), Andaman Helping Hands, A&N Islands (AHHANI) and Allu Arjun Army Andaman (AAAA) at Prem Nagar Sea Shore, Ward No. 07, Port Blair on the occasion of Gurunanak Jayanthi. 

     During this drive, 44 Volunteers were participated with a futuristic thought and total 36 bags of garbage were collected from Prem Nagar Sea Shore, Ward No.07 which consisted all type of mixed garbage like plastics materials, Alcoholic bottles, Juice bottles, Water bottles, Gutka wrappers and plastic bags followed by Plastic Fish baskets, waste clothes, unusable two wheeler tyres and waste Fishing Nets etc.

   Ocean sustainability is only the path of global prosperity. Cleanliness is the responsibility of every citizen of this country for healthy living and their green future generation. Volunteers raised slogans with great enthusiasm and patriotism like Swachh Bharat-Shresth Bharat and Bharat Mata ki Jai at the end of the event.Special thanks given to Mr. B. Rudraiah, Sanitary Inspector, PBMC, Ward No.07 & 14, Mr. Salamat Khan, Sanitary Inspector, PBMC, Ward No. 6 and Mr. R. K. Raj, Social Worker for their participation and support. Sree Sakthivel Murugan Youth Club extends heartfelt gratitude towards PBMC for providing vehicle facility for removal and disposal of the accumulated garbage.
