Port Blair, Sep 13: Mr. Naresh Chander Lal, Ambassador of Swachh Bharat Mission, A&N Islands visited the Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School, Port Blair on 13th September 2022 to check the cleanliness and sanitation under Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan. He interacted with the teachers and students of the school and urged them to maintain cleanliness at their school premises as well as in their respective societies.
Mr. Lal urged them to participate in the Swachh Sagar and Surakshit Sagar Abhiyaan and also visit our National Memorial Cellular Jail once in a lifetime and pay homage to our freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our country.
The Ambassador observed that the school was very much cleaned but the old structure of the building needs immediate repair to avoid any major accident in near future.
Later the SBM Ambassador visited the RGT Public Vidyalaya and interacted with the students.
It was also cleaned but it was found that the nearby residents of the areas throw their garbage just infront of the school which creates un healthy atmosphere at the school premises.
