Sant Nirankari Mission Organizes Worldwide Blood Donation Camps Including Islands Camp Conducted at Chouldari

Port Blair, Apr 24: In continuation of the tradition of celebrating 24thApril every year as Manav Ekta Diwas, Sant Nirankari Mission Port Blair branch conducted the Blood Donation Camp at Durga Puja Hall, Chouldari, on 23rd April 2023. The event was part of a worldwide campaign of blood donation being organized in the country’s capital Delhi and almost all the branches of Nirankari mission established in India. The campaign is driven by Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation, the Social Wing of Sant Nirankari Mission. One day prior to camp on 22nd April at Chouldari a Bike Rally and Nukkad Natakplayed to spread awareness of donation of blood among the general public inviting all to donate their blood voluntarily.

            The Blood Donation Camp was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr. Abhijeet Roy, Dy. Director DHS, A&N Administration at 0930 hrs by cutting Ceremonial Ribbon and lighting of lamps. The camp was attended by Mrs. Taposhi Saha, Pradhan, Chouldari Gram Panchayat attended as Guest of Honor, Mrs. Choitaly Roy, Samiti Member, Chouldari Gram Panchayat, Mr. Durlob Das, Pradhan, Guptapara, Panchayat, Mr. Mohammed Abdul Abid, Panchayat Secretary, Sippighat Panchayat, Dr. Nilofer Sabna, I/C PHC Chouldari as Special Guest, villagers and followers of Nirankari Mission were also present. Also, the camp was inspected by Dr. Pragya Sharma, Director ANIIMS. During her visit she said it is very glad to see like every platform here in donation of blood female morals are quite appreciable. Later, Mrs. Taposhi Saha Pradhan, Chouldari Gram Panchayat, Mrs. Choitali Roy Samiti Member, Chouldari Gram Panchayat and Dr. Nilofer Sabna, I/c PHC Chouldari donated blood.

Rev. Satya Narayan, Sector In-Charge of these Islands, welcomed the Chief Guest and other dignitaries present. He recalled that since 1998 the mission has been conducting blood donation camps every year and more than 1800 units of blood have so far been donated. He thanked all the guests, especially the Chief Guest, for their whole hearted and all support. He also mentioned and thanked G.B. Pant Hospital Blood Bank and Andaman & Nicobar Aids Control Society for their unconditional support and cooperation. 

 The Chief Guest while bringing out successful conduct of all operations related to Covid Administration in Islands said that support of the public in Islands was great. He also brought main benefits of blood donation to both – the donor and receiver in addition to giving advice on do and don’t for all concerned. Dr Shahina Mustaquin, In-Charge, Blood Bank, DHS, has supervised the camp as a team head. Dr. Shaina recalled the memories with Sant Nirankari Mission for the last many years. She has been associated with Sant Nirankari Mission especially in conducting such camps. She expressed great satisfaction on the way the camps are being organized by Sant Nirankari Mission. She praised the gathering for its service to mankind. 

            The elaborate arrangements for registration pre-checking, consultation and donation, storage and record keeping were made at the venue in addition to a mission organized Guru Ka Langer, for all. The smooth conduct of blood donation attracted more than 115 volunteers desirous of donating blood. Out of 115 registration 38 Male and 33 Female were donated blood and 44 (Male – 12 & Female 32) were rejected due medical issues. However, a total of 71 units of blood were collected during the camp. 

Definitely this great campaign which is being run for public welfare has sent divine message of unity and humanity by showcasing the teachings being impacted by Nirankari Sadguru Mata Sudiksha Maharaj, so that every individual of the Nirankari fraternity implement these inspirational teachings in their lives and work for a social welfare entity with maximum support to blood donation not applause.
