Rajiv Gandhi Cooperative Training Centre organizes an awareness programme under the theme of “Cooperative Business Model” for the benefits of students of JNRM

Port Blair, Aug 21: As part of the celebration of 75th Independence Day and Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav the Rajiv Gandhi Cooperative Training Centre with the support of the National Cooperative Union of India, New Delhi organized an awareness programme under the theme of “Cooperative Business Model” for the benefits of students of JNRM on 16th August 2022 at JNRM Auditorium.

            The programme was organized under the Initiative of “Sahakar se Samridhi” launched by the Ministry of cooperation, GoI. A total of 96 Students were drawn from different departments of the College to attend the programme.

            The objective of the programme was to create awareness among the youth & inculcate the spirit of cooperation and successful cooperation and a successful cooperative business model among them to get them under the fold of cooperation for self-employment and livelihood. They were also enlightened on the role being played by cooperatives and were narrated to motivate the students, highlighting the scope available in exploring the sector of Tourism, Service, Hospitality, e-Marketing, Campus Cooperatives, and so on.

            Mr. Suresh Babu, Principal RGCTC and Ms. NilimaRari, Faculty Member and Coordinator were the resource person to enlighten the participating students on the subject of the Cooperative Business Model. The whole programme was successfully conducted with the support of Dr. Hemant Kumar Sharma, Principal, JNRM and Dr. Venkatesh, HOD, Home Science.
