R Kashthuri Bhai becomes the First Islander to Have Opened International Rating In both Standard and Rapid Format of Chess Game

Port Blair, Dec 02: R Kashthuri Bhai, a class VIII student of GDMS Port Blair, becomes the first A & N Islands’ chess player to have opened international Rating both in Standard and Rapid Formats of Chess game as per the latest International Ratings published by the World Chess Federation on 30^th November 2022. She recently participated in back to back Rapid Tournaments at Bangalore & Hyderabad and following excellent performance, she managed to open International Rapid Rating. As per the latest ratings published on 30^th Nov 2022, her Standard Format Rating is 1513 and Rapid Rating is 1563.
