Port Blair, Sep 06: The team of Police Station Bambooflat has once again proved their efficiency and booked three persons under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985 with a recovery of 250 grams of Ganja.
A credible information was received on 04th September 2022 that three persons are arriving at Bambooflat Jetty in vehicle ferry to finalize a deal to sell illicit Ganja clandestinely to one person near Bambooflat jetty. Immediately, a raiding team led by Inspector Mohd Sameer, SHO, Bambooflat, ASI Surya Narayan, I/c OP Wimberly Gunj, PCs Rajdhari Yadav, S. Shiva Kumar and Sandeep Ram of PS Bambooflat was constituted.
The raiding team reached Bambooflat jetty and intercepted the suspected persons at Bambooflat jetty and recovered a total of 250 grams of illicit Ganja from the possession of the accused persons namely R. Hari Krishna S/o Late R. Ramu (21) yrs. DRL, HQ. ANC R/o Servent Qtrs. Old DweepVihar, Swapan Madhu S/o Mr. Santosh Madhu (23) yrs. Petrol pump Attendant, Delanipur petrol pump R/o House No. 272 BS Road, Near Chatham Police Station, Haddo, Port Blair and Rohit Dhar S/o Mr. Ranjit Dhar (21) yrs. DRL, NSRY R/o Haddo near Krishna Temple presently residing in the rented room at Haddo sunder colony. They were arrested on the spot under NDPS Act.
The entire raid took place under the supervision of Mr. Saurabh Chandra, DANIPS, SDPO Bambooflat.
