Port Blair, Aug 29: Mrs. U.Kavitha, Chairperson, PBMC laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Multi utility Centre at Marine Hill, Ward No-4 on 29th August 2022 in the presence of Mr. Azizur-Rehman, Sr. Vice Chairperson and Councillors of various wards.
At the outset Ward Councillor Mr. Abdul Islam welcomed the Chairperson and other dignitaries. The Civic Chief after laying the foundation stone stated that the Multi-utility Centre will facilitate the populace of the ward to organize Community meetings, Yoga camps, and medical camps and can also be utilized for other recreational purposes.
Further, the Chairperson said that it may be used as an interaction Centre by the Ward Councillor to interact with the Public/Citizens of his Ward. She further stated that the work will be completed within the stipulated time frame. The local residents, senior citizens of the ward and officials of the Port Blair Municipal Council were also present during the function.
