Port Blair, Jul 12: The MPL 51st National Junior Boys (Under-19) and 36th National Junior Girls (Under-19) Chess Championships 2022 began on 12th July 2022 at Pune, Maharashtra which is being organized by Maharashtra Chess Association on behalf of All India Chess Federation under the aegis of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, GoI.
Over 200 boys and girls from 25 states across the country are participating in the prestigious Championship in which R Kashthuri Bhai, from Andaman and Nicobar Islands, will be participating in the Junior Girls category.
The championship will be held for 09 days from 12th July to 20th July 2022 over 11 rounds in classical mode. The total cash prize for the championship is rupees Ten lakhs which will be awarded among the top twenty players in the Boys and Girls category.
