Port Blair, Feb 08: Acting on a specific intelligence input received from reliable source, Police team from Narcotics Cell, CID Unit consisting of Sub-Inspector M.A Rasheed, Head Constable Sanjay kujur, Constables K. Rajendran & Raja rao intercepted one person namely Subidalimolla S/o Mr. Yousuf alimolla (20) yrs village Gobramari, Dist South 24 Pargnas, West Bengal at VSI Airport, who had arrived at Port Blair from Kolkata on 05/02/2023 by flight. Total 1.280 kgs of Ganja which was clandestinely concealed in his bags was seized from him and the said person was arrested on the spot observing all codal formalities. On this, cases vide Crime No.10/2023 dated 05/02/2023 U/s 20(b)(ii) B NDPS Act 1985 has been registered at PS CCS. During interrogation the arrested accused person disclosed his two associates namely (1) Ankit mondal @ Rocky R/o Havelock No1, Gobind Nagar and (2) Pranab kumarroy R/o R.K. Pur Hut Bay, who provided money and tickets to him. Accordingly, on 07/02/2023 the above associates were also arrested as per law.
