Multi Agency Counter Terrorist Contingency Plan (CTCP) Mock Exercise Conducted at Port Blair Airport.

Port Blair, Dec 16: Keeping in view the present security scenario in the country and emerging threats to CIVIL AVIATION Security around the globe, CISF Unit VSI AIRPORT PORT BLAIR conducted a multi agency mock exercise on the scenario of Armed Attack at Airport on its facilities from multiple points and hostage situation of the Airport staff. The mock exercise was conducted under the overall supervision of  Mr. Rajinder Singh,  Dy. Commandant / Chief Airport Security Officer (CASO) with active Participation of teams from INDIAN ARMY,  INDIAN NAVY, MARCOS (NAVY)  A & N Police, AAI, Airlines, Coast Guard, IB, A & N Fire BRIGADE, BDDS and Medical Services etc. 

The whole idea behind the exercise was to assess and fine tune the level of coordination between multiple agencies involved in anti-terror operations and ensure high level of operational preparedness. The exercise also provided an opportunity to check the effectiveness of Counter Terrorist Contingency Plan (CTCP) of the airport security and synergies the efforts of various security agencies to thwart any terrorist acts on Civil Aviation setup of A&N Islands
