MGIS celebrates Krishna Janmashtami

Port Blair, Aug 18: Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with great pomp and festivity by the tiny-tots of the Primary section on 18th August 2022 at Mahatma Gandhi International School, Brookshabad. Dressed as Radha and Krishna, to celebrate the extraordinary bond between children and the Almighty, MGIS took the opportunity to both jubilate and learn with the young minds. The students dressed up as lord Krishna and Radha, complete with flutes, peacock feathers and matkas. The premise was decorated beautifully and the spirit of festivity was enhanced with Jhankis depicting the life history of Lord Krishna.

            The celebration that followed was truly entertaining and educating. the cute little ones added a traditional touch to the entire celebrations when they danced to the beat of Janmashtami songs, filling the air with joy and festive spirit.

            The most significant event of the programme was “DahiHandi”, of tiny tots. The tiny tots were overjoyed when they broke the ‘DahiHandi’ (filled with chocolates). The principal of the school, Ms. RanjanaGulechha along with the teachers encouraged the students and enjoyed the function thoroughly.
