Port Blair, Jan 22: As part of celebration of A&N Police Week w.e.f 16-22 Jan 2023, the India Reserve Battalion, A&N Police presented a mesmerizing variety program on 19th Jan 2023 at Flag Point, a historically significant spot. The IRBn personnel sung various patriotic songs, presented an awareness skit on Drug Abuse and an enthralling heart-touching Martial Arts demonstration by Sub-Inspector M.S. Murugan of IRBn and his team. The event was aimed to bring awareness on drug abuse especially among youngsters, encouraging them to learn self- defense techniques and fire prevention. The program was enthusiastically witnessed by a large gathering of the general public.
Mr. Sanjay Kumar Jain, IPS, Inspector General of Police (L&O) was the chief guest on the occasion, who appealed to the gathering to learn self-defense and fire prevention techniques for safety of oneself and to the society as a whole and refrain from the menace of drug addiction. He also congratulated the teams for conducting such a wonderful and informative event in public domain.
The entire show was visualized by Mrs. Monika Bhardwaj, IPS, DIGP/Commandant, IRBn and conducted under her guidance and supervision.
