Member of Parliament sanctions Computers, Photo-copiers and PA Systems for various schools of Middle Andaman

Port Blair, Nov 27: The Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma during his recent visit to Swaraj Dweep, Rangat and Long Island has visited a number of schools of the region and interacted with students and teachers to understand their problems and the standard of education.

During the visit the Member of Parliament observed that supply of certain electronic equipment and computer systems are required in various schools, which can help in running schools in a better way and also help students of remote areas to get easy access to basic computer education.

The Member of Parliament during his visit sanctioned purchase and supply of one Digital Photocopier machine for Government Primary School Sabari Rangat at the cost of Rs.85,000. Four Nos. (4) Computer System and one Digital Photocopier Machine for Government Primary School Rangat at the cost of Rs.2,00,000 (Two Lakhs), Three Nos. (3) Computer Systems and one Public Address System for the Government Senior Secondary School, Long Island at the cost of Rs.1,50,000 (one lakh fifty thousand) and five Nos. (5) Computer Systems for GSSS Sabari, Rangat at the cost of Rs.1,50,000 (one lakh fifty thousand) from MPLADS fund.
