Port Blair, Aug 21: The Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration to appoint and engage a suitable female Gym trainer for the Ladies at the existing Gym of Netaji Stadium, Port Blair at the earliest.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary of A&N Administration the Member of Parliament mentioned that presently one Gym centre equipped with modern facilities has been set up by the Andaman and Nicobar Administration inside Netaji Stadium complex, Port Blair.
In the existing Gym centre, both gents and ladies are attending for their daily physical activities in separate timings as per fixed schedule.
In order to provide proper guidance to the gents while they exercise in the gymnasium, one male Gym trainer has been appointed for proper coaching. However, no Gym trainer for the ladies has been appointed yet to guide them while exercising and because of this, the ladies are feeling uncomfortable due to the non-availability of female Gym trainers.
The Member of Parliament added that at present a limited number of ladies are attending the said Gym and if a Female Gym Trainer is appointed more ladies will join the Gym, under expert guidance.
