Port Blair, Nov 17: Mr. N. Damodaran, Owner, Future Corridor Education Consultancy and anentrepreneur from Andaman Islands qualifies for the Iron Man 70.3 WorldChampionship.
Mr. Damodaran registered his qualifications for the Iron Man bysuccessfully completing the Iron 70.3 organized in Goa last week.Iron Man a 70.3 is a half Ironman-distance triathlon, consisting of a 1900mswim, 90km bike ride and 21kms half marathon to finish. It’s a serious featof endurance, and a big commitment, requiring months of training andpreparation. Each athlete will have 8 hours and 30 minutes to complete therace.
Mr. Damodaran clocked the three events as follows: Swimming (1900 mtrs):48:27 min, Cycling (90 Kms) : 3:38:32 and Run (21Kms): 3:29:24. He took intotal 7 hrs 56 minutes and 23 seconds to reach the finish line.
