Port Blair, Aug 30: On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Mr. Angshuman Roy, State Youth President, Hindu Rashtra Shakti and other members of Hindu Rashtra Shakti, A&N Islands extended their warm greetings to the people of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Ganesh Chaturthi heralds the advent of Lord Ganesha signifying a period of mirth and celebration. This festival assumes significance owing to the manner in which the devotees show their love and faith to worship and embrace Lord Ganesha. This auspicious occasion symbolizes the victory of good over evil for it is believed that Lord Ganesha vanquished the evil power of demons that existed in the world.
HRS conveyed that “Let the spirit of Lord Ganesha always bless our islanders so that they can continue to live in peace and harmony on these beautiful Islands”.
