On the auspicious occasion of ‘Makar Sankranti’ and ‘Pongal’, I extend warm greetings to all the residents of A & N Islands.
The celebration of Makar Sankranti and Pongal marks the arrival of spring which brings prosperity, good fortune and happiness. With great devotion, fervor, vivacity, rays of hope and light, let us vow to further strengthen mutual harmony and brotherhood in our beautiful Islands.
I appeal to all the Islanders to celebrate this festival while adhering to COVID appropriate behavior.
On this festive occasion, I wish that this festival brings joy and success in the lives of all Islanders and our Islands continue to march ahead on the path of peace, prosperity and development.
