DYFI Committee Formed In Diglipur

Port Blair, Nov 02: A meeting of youth of Diglipur was held on 30th October, 2022 afternoon at Diglipur.  Addressing the meeting, D. Ayyappan, Vice President, CITU A & N State Committee explained in detail the problems being faced by the youth in the country as a whole and the youth of these islands in particular. He said that the promises made by the BJP during the 2014 election campaign that 2 crores of jobs will be created every year has turned out to be hollow and the reality is  that millions of workers have lost their jobs during the last 8 years of Modi government. The central government’s policies are leading to unemployment, job loss, poverty and inequality in the country.   He said that no step is being taken by the BJP government at the center to set up any industry in the islands to provide job to the local youths.  Thousands of posts are lying vacant in various departments under the Administration and the BJP government and its Administration in the islands have failed to take any action to fill up these posts.   

            The meeting formed the Diglipur Area Committee of the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI). The meeting decided to strengthen the DYFI in North Andaman in order to take up various issues of youths of Diglipur area. The meeting adopted resolutions on various issues concerning the people of Diglipur area particularly of youth.   

            Mr. Ramjeeban Sarkar, Ex-Pradhan, Kalighat Gram Panchayat and leader of All India Kisan Sabha  called upon the  youth of North Andaman to come together to fight against the  wrong policies of the government.  Mr. Narayan Bairagi presided over the meeting.
