Port Blair, Oct 19: A free dental check up camp was held at Khalsa Public Senior Secondary School,Port Blair on 18th and 19th October respectively. The camp was organized by Inner Wheel Club in collaboration with Dr. Poonam Arora (Arora Dental Clinic), Port Blair.Along with the other members present,Mrs. Raj Mahajan, Charter President and Mrs.Satinderpal Kaur, President, Inner Wheel club graced the inaugural session on 18th October 2022.
The dental checkup was conducted for around 155 Senior Secondary students.The team of dentists led by Dr Sharmila Patil, Dr Diksha, Dr Kavi Malar consecutively examined the students and apprised them of their dental problems and gave relevant solutions. All the students screened during the camp were gifted with toothbrushes. Two students K Karthika and Aastha Singh of class IX were rewarded for their excellent Dentition health.
Mrs Rita Devi, Protection Officer, Social Welfare Department was the guest of honour for the closing ceremony on 19th October 2022. She appreciated the effort of doctors creatingdental hygiene awareness and holding extensive dental examination for the students. She also motivated Inner Wheel club members to include students and teachers in their Endeavour for exemplary health awareness camps across other schools and colleges too.On behalf of the Management Committee of KPSSS,Principal, Dr S K Jagpal thanked the members of Inner Wheel Club and doctors of Arora Dental Clinic for their relentless efforts in smooth conduct of this camp over two days.
