Port Blair, Dec 18:It is informed to the general public that an unidentified dead body of a newborn female infant was found sunken in sea water of JodaKilan Creek area. In this regard, a FIR vide No. 207/22 dated 16/12/2022 U/s 318 IPC has been registered at PS Pahargaon and is being investigated. The dead body of the infant is preserved for identification in the cold Mortuary room of GB Pant Hospital, Port Blair.
The general public is requested to share information pertaining to the unidentified dead body of the newborn female infant, any crime or other illegal activities to Police at 112, 03192-232100, 03192-250525 & 03192-233077. The identity of the informant will be kept secret.
